 | "Words Will Never Hurt Me" - Yea Right
You know the nursery rhyme, "Stick and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? Could there be a bigger lie than this? I can't believe that this is what so many of us were taught.
We ought to learn, "Words cut like a knife." Or maybe, "Words can cut, but they also can heal."
We all need to be conscious all the time of how easily our words can become like jagged glass, a knife, or even a club to someone else's spirit. And hopefully use that awareness... |
